Our client is a highly respected architectural consultancy, celebrated for their work on prestigious properties in London’s most sought-after areas such as Kensington & Chelsea. Known for blending bespoke design with heritage conservation, they have built an exceptional reputation for technical precision and innovative architectural solutions.
This role offers the chance to work under one of the top Technical Directors in the industry, providing you with invaluable mentorship and hands-on experience. You will be part of a collaborative, detail-oriented team working on luxury and heritage projects, ensuring the technical delivery of complex designs that demand both creativity and technical excellence.
This is a full-time, permanent position, ideal for those who thrive in a fully office-based environment and are passionate about developing their technical expertise.
Role & Responsibilities
1. Prepare and present technical 2D & 3D design solutions using AutoCAD and traditional methods
2. Prepare planning drawings for statutory approval authorities
3. Liaising with consultants and manufacturers during the selection process of products for construction details
4. Produce construction packages
5. Undertake technical research
6. Assist with site inspections by either condition surveys, site progress and analysis of build work and defects
7. Undertake quality inspections
8. Prepare photographic, SketchUp and 3D visuals to assist the team
9. Assist with the detailed design process of small schemes and layouts for space planning
10. Prepare specifications using NBS Chorus.
Required Skills & Experience
11. A minimum of 5 years post-qualification experience and professional practice experience in the UK
12. The ability to sketch by hand in 2D and 3D
13. Fluent use of AutoCAD and Revit skills are desirable but not essential
14. SketchUp and Photoshop skills are very desirable
15. Experience in the technical delivery of standard and bespoke detailing within the high-end sector
16. Strong interest and passion in the technical development of bespoke details
17. Experience in drawing up specifications using NBS is essential
18. Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
