Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role located in Millbrook, NY for an Executive Chef. The Executive Chef will be responsible for overseeing kitchen operations, menu planning and design, food preparation, and maintaining quality and sanitation standards. The Executive Chef will also manage kitchen staff, order supplies, and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations. The role involves creating new recipes, monitoring food costs, and ensuring a memorable dining experience for guests.
Qualifications
* Culinary skills: Expertise in cooking techniques, recipe development, and menu planning
* Management skills: Experience in leading kitchen staff, scheduling, and resource management
* Food safety knowledge: Understanding of health and safety regulations, sanitation practices, and allergy protocols
* Organizational skills: Ability to manage inventory, order supplies, and control food costs
* Creative skills: Capacity for innovation in culinary arts and presentation
* Communication skills: Strong verbal and written communication abilities
* Experience in hospitality industry: Previous experience as an Executive Chef or in a similar leadership role
* Culinary degree or certification is preferred
