Position Overview: Come join a growing environmental planning team with diverse and exciting projects that are transforming society. We are seeking an experienced environmental planner to deliver complex and rewarding projects across sectors like energy, infrastructure, and development. Our team currently has 15 passionate, open-minded, and experienced professionals across the UK. This role involves leading and delivering environmental planning and sustainability projects, including Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) and Strategic Environmental Assessment (SEA) processes, risk management, design input, coordinating interdisciplinary teams, and engaging with stakeholders to ensure compliance with environmental regulations and sustainable practices. Key Responsibilities: In this role, you will play a pivotal part in leading projects across multiple UK sectors, including energy, water, and sustainability. As a consultant in environmental assessment and management, you will provide invaluable advice to clients, develop relationships, and influence the technical delivery within the Environmental & Sustainability team. This role involves leading in-house technical experts and designers on large, complex, and rewarding projects to deliver environmental and sustainability objectives. You will have opportunities to mentor less experienced employees and participate in our ‘reverse-mentoring’ programme with a senior management team member. Qualifications: Project experience assisting, coordinating, and leading EIAs and/or SEAs. A degree in Environmental Science or a related field. Relevant professional membership/qualifications. Strong understanding of UK environmental legislation and EIA processes. Proven ability to manage and deliver multiple projects, meet deadlines and budgets. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders. Client relationship management and work winning experience. A proactive approach to problem solving and a passion for sustainability. A willingness to travel to meet and support teams and clients across the UK.
