Strategic Asset Manager - Development, 6-month contract, Inside IR35. Rate up to £450 per day Your new company We're pleased to be partnering with an organisation in the East of England who are looking to recruit a Senior Asset Manager - Development, to join their team for an initial 6-month period. The Strategic Asset Manager will lead a series of high profile regeneration and development projects. Your new role As the Senior Asset Manager - Development, you'll be joining a small team that manages over 2000 assets with a value of over £300m, which generates a rental return of over £3m per year. This role will include working on a mix of education assets/projects and also a number of key regeneration sites that are being progressed. This will be an emerging and fast-paced program and the candidate will need to be agile and able to work largely on their own initiative following a short induction period. The Senior Asset Manager will provide advice on key areas in the development of strategic development and planning advice, as well as dealing with complex landlord and tenant related issues. What you'll need to succeed The Senior Asset Manager will be a chartered surveyor (RICS) and have strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills with an ability to provide value-led tactical advice and expertise. You'll have comprehensive landlord and tenant knowledge, will have experience of carrying out options appraisals, and will be negotiating complex property deals. You'll be competent at agreeing heads of terms across multiple asset classes and overseeing some of these extension or new build projects from start to finish. Experience of working with educational capital projects would be helpful, including extension and new build projects. You'll have a sound understanding of the development cycle and experience of leading project teams. You will be competent in report writing, setting out options and recommendations, as well as being competent in instructing lawyers to document cases in a proactive manner to ensure timely completion. The client is flexible with regard to a day rate, dependent on your experience of working in this field. You'll work hybrid, with 2-3 days onsite with the rest of your time working remotely should you wish. We expect this position will fall inside of IR35.
