We are currently looking for a Simulation Engineer / Battery Modeller (Thermal / Electrical) for our client, a leading battery software company. The successful candidate will develop and implement thermal and electrical models for battery cells to predict and optimize their behavior under various operational conditions. The Simulation Engineer / Battery Modeller (Thermal / Electrical) will: Perform multi-physics simulations, focusing on the integration of thermal and electrical behaviors at the cell level to create holistic models that enhance the accuracy of predictions. Use software tools (e.g., MATLAB, COMSOL, Simulink) to perform simulations and integrate models into battery characterization platform for customer use. Collaborate with the product and software teams to integrate simulation capabilities into customer-facing tools and platforms. Develop and implement thermal and electrical models for battery cells simulating performance, degradation, and failure modes. Simulate battery behavior under various conditions (e.g., charging, discharging, thermal cycling) to optimize performance, safety, and lifespan. The Simulation Engineer / Battery Modeller (Thermal / Electrical) will have: 3-5 years working in industry or research application-oriented environment. Proficient in MATLAB, Simulink, Python, and COMSOL for electrical/thermal simulations, with extensive hands-on experience in scientific programming. Hands-on experience with control engineering, BMS or battery thermal management systems. Broad understanding of battery fundamentals. Strong enthusiasm for battery technology and sustainability, aligning with the company's mission and values. Demonstrable expertise in electrical or thermal modelling of batteries.
