Senior Early Help Practitioner
Location: Southwark
Salary: Grade 11
Contract: Full-time
Southwark Council is seeking an experienced Senior Early Help Practitioner to support vulnerable families and improve outcomes for children. You will lead on whole-family assessments, develop SMART plans, and deliver evidence-based interventions. Acting as the lead professional, you will coordinate multi-agency support, manage a complex caseload, and supervise less experienced staff.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Engage families to drive sustainable change.
2. Assess risk factors such as school attendance, health, and safeguarding issues.
3. Develop and review whole-family plans with SMART objectives.
4. Work with schools, health professionals, and social care teams.
5. Provide supervision, guidance, and expertise in early intervention.
Requirements:
1. Level 5/Degree qualification or significant experience in family work.
2. Strong knowledge of early intervention, safeguarding, and child development.
3. Experience managing caseloads, multi-agency collaboration, and staff supervision.
4. Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
5. Ability to work flexibly, including some evenings/weekends.
Must be immediately available.
