Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and professional Medical Receptionist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for patients and visitors, providing exceptional customer service while managing a variety of administrative tasks. This role is crucial in ensuring the smooth operation of our medical facility and enhancing the patient experience.
Responsibilities
1. Greet patients and visitors warmly, ensuring a welcoming environment.
2. Manage patient appointments, including scheduling, rescheduling, and cancellations.
3. Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries in a timely manner.
4. Maintain accurate patient records and ensure confidentiality in compliance with data protection regulations.
5. Process patient registrations.
6. Handle incoming mail and correspondence efficiently.
7. Support medical staff by preparing necessary documentation for patient visits.
8. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the reception area.
Requirements
1. Experience in an office or administrative role is advantageous but not necessary, preferably within a healthcare setting.
2. Strong organisational skills with attention to detail.
3. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
4. Proficient in using office equipment such as computers, printers, and telephones.
5. Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
6. A compassionate attitude towards patients and a commitment to providing excellent service.
7. Familiarity with medical terminology is advantageous but not essential.
