The Role
We are seeking a passionate and skilled Mechanical Engineer to take on the role of a Trainer and Assessor, helping to deliver high-quality teaching and assessment for Level 3 Engineering students. This is a unique opportunity to share your expertise in both classroom and workshop settings, covering areas such as:
1. Manual Machining
2. Lathe Operations
3. CNC Machining
You will have the opportunity to work with a supportive and forward-thinking team, dedicated to developing the skills of young engineers entering the industry.
What We're Looking For
Essential: A minimum of a Level 3 Engineering qualification. Please note that candidates without at least a Level 3 qualification cannot be considered for this role.
Desirable: A teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, PTLLS, DTLLS, or equivalent) is advantageous but not mandatory. We welcome experienced engineers who are passionate about teaching but may not yet have formal teaching qualifications.
Experience & Skills: Practical experience in mechanical engineering, particularly in manual machining, lathes, and CNC operations. Excellent communication skills and a genuine passion for developing the skills of others.
