Job summary This is an exciting (30 hours per week) opportunity to be involved in the provision of psychology services within Specialist Palliative Care across Sunderland and South Tyneside. You will form part of a team of psychologists and psychological practitioners to continue to develop and embed psychology services for patients accessing Specialist Palliative Care and cancer care in our region. You will work with the Specialist Palliative Care team delivering direct patient and relative psychological assessment and intervention, as well as team consultation, training and supervision. Psychology is a highly-valued role within these Services, and you will be supported to continue to develop and grow the Service. You will be part of our larger Clinical Health Psychology Service and have access to CPD and specialist clinical supervision and leadership support. Main duties of the job You will have previous experience of working with individuals who have complex physical health needs. You will have experience working with MDTs to provide direct and indirect psychological care. You will be skilled in delivering supervision and consultation to both psychologists/psychological practitioners and other professionals. In this role, you will work in a variety of clinic settings including inpatients, Outpatients and in the community creating a varied and interesting workload.
