HR Advisor - Artigarvan

The Group’s Agribusiness Division (Lakeland Agri) operates a state-of-the-art Animal Feed Manufacturing Facility and is a leading and innovative provider of the highest quality feeds and agricultural inputs to dairy, beef and sheep farmers across the north and south of Ireland.

The Role:
Based at our food ingredients site at Artigarvan, the successful applicant will be responsible for a variety of HR generalist tasks to support the delivery of a professional HR services and Group Projects as required.
Our HR Advisor will be responsible for providing administrative and advisory support in the following areas: Recruitment & Selection, Inductions, Training & Development, Employee Engagement & Relations, HR Policies & Processes, HR Systems & Projects. The role will support the HR team to deliver the people strategy plans in alignment with the objectives of the division and wider business.
Key responsibilities will include (not limited to):
* Support and advise on HR related queries, liaising with HR team/HRBP/HR Manager as appropriate.
* Support recruitment activities to include developing job descriptions, liaising with recruitment agencies, coordinating interviews and representing the HR department on interview panels, working closely with the appropriate manager throughout the process.
* Prepare offer paperwork and welcome packs, arrange departmental inductions for new employees and deliver HR inductions.
* Guide managers on disciplinary and grievance matters, ensuring the relevant policy and process is adhered to, providing administrative support with letters/notetaking and maintaining accurate and confidential records.
* Assist the wider team with organisational design/development activities e.g. revision of job descriptions, reissuing of terms and conditions.
* Maintain the accurate administration of HR related documentation and personnel files (hard and soft copy), ensuring all documents are retained/deleted in adherence to the Company’s GDPR policy and procedure.
* Collect and compile HR metrics and data from a variety of sources including but not limited to: HR or time and attendance systems, management/employee surveys, exit interviews, external statistics e.g. government, benchmarking of competitors and any other relevant sources ensuring alignment with all other HR teams and Group.
* Act in a confidential and trustworthy manner at all times.
What do I need to be successful in this role?
* 3rd level qualification in Human Resource Management, Level 5 CIPD or working towards or qualified experience from within a similar role.
* Experience from within a busy HR role, performing a range of administrative duties, working to tight deadlines and advising others in NI/UK legislation.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office Packages.
* Excellent attention to detail, communication and relationship management skills.
* A postgraduate degree in HR management, CIPD level 7, experience from within a manufacturing environment and/or experience of working in a unionized environment would be advantageous.
