As a Floating Support Worker, you will inspire, challenge, and enable people to lead successful and independent lives. You will work flexibly as part of a team to develop, implement, and review support plans based on individual needs, preferences, and aspirations. You will support individuals in our move-on property in Maesteg, where they live semi-independently and require ad-hoc support with managing their tenancy and securing permanent independent accommodation through the local authority, RSL, or PRS. The role is varied and involves collaborating with external organizations to support vulnerable clients in improving their lives and making positive choices. The successful candidate needs to be reliable because people will depend on you. You must also be an excellent communicator, both verbally and in writing, and possess basic IT and numerical skills. Your day will consist of: Working with people to truly make a difference in their lives. Carrying a caseload of clients with differing levels of need based on their situation. Providing housing-related support to help clients take on or sustain a tenancy and prevent homelessness. Liaising and working closely with other agencies and professionals regarding clients' support needs, such as Social Services, Gateway, landlords, and letting agencies. Offering appropriate support sensitively, considering clients' emotional and intellectual needs while respecting their choice and privacy. Some flexibility is required in this role to meet the needs of the clients and the successful candidate will be based at this service in Maesteg (Bridgend) as well as occasionally at our other service in Bridgend. What are the pay and benefits? Full-Time (37hrs), Permanent. The salary for this position is £25,585.00 Work Pattern: Monday to Friday 09:00-17:00 but some flexibility required to meet the needs of the clients.
