About the Role : As a SEN Teaching Assistant in this exceptional school, you’ll work closely with teachers and support staff to provide tailored support to children with diverse learning needs. You’ll play a key role in helping students overcome their challenges, ensuring they receive the guidance, care, and encouragement they need to succeed. Key Responsibilities : Morning Support : Provide focused assistance to students with SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) needs, including ADHD and those at risk of self-harming. Afternoon Flexibility : Work across Key Stages 1 and 2, offering crucial support wherever needed to help students reach their potential. Nurture and Inclusivity : Use your knowledge to create a warm, supportive learning environment that celebrates diversity. Collaborate : Work hand-in-hand with teachers and the SENCO to implement personalized support plans and interventions. What We’re Looking For : To thrive in this role, we’re looking for someone who is passionate, proactive, and ready to make a difference. The ideal candidate will have: Experience : Previous experience as a SEN Teaching Assistant or in a similar role is preferred. Knowledge : A strong understanding of SEN, safeguarding, and child protection practices is essential. Collaboration Skills : The ability to work well as part of a team and independently when needed. Communication : Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents. Desirable Qualifications : Relevant qualifications or training in education, SEN, or child development would be beneficial.
