We are looking for a Management Accountant to join our growing team. Reporting to the Finance Manager, this is a fantastic opportunity to support the business leaders with developing client relationships and providing accounting activities and insight for their clients. Full time role is for 32 hours per week.

Key Responsibilities
1. Being the first point of contact for clients and ensuring that each client is receiving the best standard of service possible.
2. Overall responsibility for the production of accurate and timely monthly accounts and other ad-hoc client requests and reports with assistance from the team of Management Accountants.
3. Coordinating effectively with team members to ensure all schedules are kept up to date, including reviewing prepayment and accrual schedules and reconciliations of bank and balance sheet accounts.
4. Providing clients with meaningful commentary on their reports and insight on their businesses' performance. Identifying variances, trends, and areas that require the client’s attention.
5. Optimizing and simplifying, where possible, the current financial processes and procedures.
6. Review and submission of VAT returns and other statutory reporting.
7. Liaising with auditors and statutory accountants for year-end accounts and tax.
Your Profile
1. Proven track record in a Management Accountant role.
2. Ability to see the big picture and sense check for errors or problems after the accounting tasks are completed.
3. Curiosity and desire to understand the underlying business of clients and provide insight.
4. Confident communicator with both clients and colleagues.
5. Strong customer service focus with the ability to maintain and develop client relationships.
6. A high level of IT literacy, with the ability to pick up new ERP systems quickly.
7. Intermediate to Advanced Excel skills. Fluent with most formulas including lookups and pivot tables. Experience working with and updating large reporting packs. Some experience with macros.
8. Ability to problem solve, highlight issues, and find solutions.
9. A self-starter that can work autonomously.
10. Good attention to detail, organisation and planning skills.
11. A collaborative team player.
12. Flexible working with a 32-hour week with core hours of 10am-3pm four days per week.
