What does the role involve?
Reporting to the Data and Analytics Practice Manager, as a Data Team Leader, you'll lead, motivate and empower a team of Data Engineers to enable the businesses and shared functions to achieve the maximum benefit from their data assets. You'll drive a consistency in approach and ways of working, and will enhance skills and capabilities to ensure that business requirements for projects are executed correctly by a high performing team.
This role can be based from our Staines or Newbury offices.
Some of your key duties will include:
* Leadership of a team of Data Engineers to provide outstanding data solutions to stakeholders across Novuna
* Planning development and managing activities to ensure delivery of requested enhancements to data and analytics environment
* Building relationships with key stakeholders across the business by communicating effectively and overseeing an excellent customer experience
* Implementing a culture of continual learning by coaching and mentoring the team to get the best out of individuals
What are we looking for?
You'll demonstrate a real passion for data and will embody strong leadership skills to ensure that Novuna is realizing value from its data. You'll maintain relevant up-to-date industry knowledge of emerging trends, technology, and tools, making recommendations where appropriate.
Also, we're looking for the following:
* Exceptional people management skills with a Sincere, Harmonious yet Pioneering leadership style
* Strong stakeholder management skills, including the ability to influence and persuade
* Good coaching and mentoring skills with the ability to acquire new skills and work in a rapidly changing environment
* Good knowledge of data best practices, including data governance, data management and tools and technologies
