Job Responsibilities
1. Member of a multi-discipline team of engineers responsible for delivering a major modification project.
2. Carry out professional engineering, procurement, construction, installation, and completion activities in a competent and efficient manner, ensuring that the technical and safety integrity of engineering is maintained.
3. Ensure project deliverables are generated using Aker Solutions systems and tools.
4. Review and check the work of others, being responsible for their performance within their discipline/function.
5. Compile weekly reports on progress via project tools where applicable.
6. Liaise with client project and facilities engineering in the execution of the modifications project scopes of work, delivering work on schedule and within budget in accordance with company procedures.
7. Accountable for the effective administration and implementation of Management of Change.
8. Prepare cost and time/man-hour estimates via Aker Solutions Systems where applicable.
9. Input into the planning, coordination, and execution of the group's work activities.
10. Liaise with other disciplines on design, construction, fabrication, and commissioning issues.
11. Provide engineering and technical direction for drawing office personnel.
12. Prepare engineering concepts and develop them into detailed designs.
13. Prepare CTR estimates for structural scopes.
Qualifications
1. Sound working knowledge of relevant structural design codes.
2. Experience/qualification in Structural Engineering.
3. Solution-oriented with good communication and collaboration skills.
4. Knowledge of relevant industry regulations and standards.
5. Strong work ethic and a proactive attitude.
6. Ability to train and mentor discipline engineers.
7. A commercial mindset with good communication skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
8. Ability to see solutions while meeting customer expectations and requirements.
9. Competency to be accurate, flexible, and organized.
