This role is perfect for someone who has experience supporting children with special educational needs (SEND) and wants to make a difference in the lives of children with autism, ADHD, and SEMH. This role is a long-term, full-time position, based in the SEND Hub in the school and would be starting ASAP. As an SEND Teaching Assistant, you will: Provide support for children with additional needs, including ASD, ADHD, and SEMH. Work closely with the Class Teacher to deliver tailored learning plans. Support small groups of children, helping them to achieve their potential. Assist with classroom management, ensuring a safe and engaging environment. Help with the implementation of individualised education plans (IEPs) for children with SEND. Required Skills and Experience: Experience working with children with SEND, including those with Autism, ADHD, SEMH, and challenging behaviour. Previous UK Primary School experience is essential. Strong understanding of the National Curriculum, particularly Key Stage 2 (KS2). Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in supporting teaching and learning, or equivalent. Ability to work independently and as part of a team with the Class Teacher and other school staff.
