Working hours: This role is available on a part-time, job-share or full-time basis.

The opportunity:
The UK DevOps team is part of the UK Operations and IT function which drives technology delivery and change across the UK business. The DevOps team currently consists of a Mendix low-code and a Salesforce development and operations capability; a MuleSoft API team and a SmartComms digital content team. The DevOps team has fully embraced new ways of working including Agile, DevOps practices, API-led development, cloud-first, and establishing Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery pipelines (CI/CD).
You will lead and manage the Mendix Operations and Small Change team to maintain and support the smooth operation of over 25 Mendix low-code applications and their associated cloud and on-premise infrastructure. Working within the Agile framework alongside business teams, business analysts and Mendix developers, you will oversee and enable application security, improvements and enhancements. You will report to the Mendix Lead.
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the DevOps team as the Mendix Operations and Small Change Manager. You will support and maintain the Mendix application portfolio and associated infrastructure, as well as execute on small change development. Working directly with business teams across the UK and the wider IT and Operations team, you will ensure applications are available, secure, and provide a timely response to software defects and incidents.
This is a great opportunity for an experienced IT operations manager or an IT professional with the potential to develop and grow into the role. Ideally you will be an experienced IT professional with a proven track record in people and stakeholder management. You will be able to meet the operational needs of a growing portfolio of Mendix applications supporting multiple lines of business, translating defects, incidents and problems into requirements and resolutions. You will also have a passion for software engineering excellence and drive for improved applications and infrastructure performance and automation.
