Job summary Exciting Opportunity: Rotational Band 6 Radiographer We are thrilled to announce an opening for a Rotational Band 6 Radiographer at King's Mill Hospital in Sutton-in-Ashfield. This role is perfect for a well-motivated and flexible radiographer with significant experience at Band 5 level. The position includes rotation across our fully digital Radiology Department and specialized training in areas such as CT or Interventional Radiography, to be discussed with successful candidates post-interview. Key Responsibilities: Dose Optimisation: Ensuring the highest standards of patient safety and image quality. Appraisals and Mentorship: Providing guidance and support to junior staff. Audit and Leadership Development: Contributing to continuous improvement and personal growth. Main duties of the job Perform x-ray examinations to a high standard, whilst observing the Ionising Radiations Regulations 17 and the Ionising Radiations (Medical Exposures) Regulations 2017 and the Local rules. Communicate effectively in an appropriate manner, information to patients and staff concerning radiological examinations. Communicate with external MDT teams and professionals to ensure high standards of patient care and an efficient service. Be aware of the responsibilities placed on him/her under the Health and safety at Work Act, 1974 and subsequent Health and Safety legislations ensuring that the agreed safety procedures are carried out and maintaining a safe environment for staff and visitors. Contribute to deliver and improving a high quality service, by participation in thedepartment's Quality Assurance and Standards setting programmes, and by updating skills and knowledge on a continuing basis and maintaining a Personal Development.
