Project Administrator – Oxford

We are looking for a highly organised and motivated Project Administrator to join one of the UK’s largest Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) contractors, based in Oxford. This is an exciting opportunity to support a commercial scheme starting in April, working alongside Tier 1 contractors such as Ardmore, Bouygues, and Balfour Beatty on high-profile residential and commercial projects.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide administrative support to the project management team to ensure the smooth running of the project.
* Assist in the preparation and management of project documentation, including contracts, reports, and correspondence.
* Maintain and update project schedules, tracking milestones and deadlines.
* Coordinate meetings, site visits, and communication between project teams and stakeholders.
* Assist with procurement, managing purchase orders, and ensuring materials are delivered on time.
* Help with invoicing, tracking project budgets, and ensuring timely payments.
* Manage filing and record-keeping systems, ensuring compliance with company and project requirements.
* Assist with the preparation of reports, presentations, and other project-related documents.
Requirements:
* Previous experience in an administrative role, ideally within the construction or M&E sector.
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and project management software.
* Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
* Knowledge of construction terminology and processes is advantageous but not essential
