Position Summary
Reports to: Shift Operations Manager
Direct reports: None
Working Hours: Continental shift pattern (3/2), rotating between days (05:45-18:00) and nights (17:45-6:00).

Main Accountability
The Manufacturing Technician (MT) impacts line performance by managing zones to meet QCDM targets, working with General Operatives and collaborating with the wider team to optimize performance, safety, and maintenance standards.
Responsibilities
* Ensure zone standards for health, safety, food safety, quality, IPS, GMP, and performance are maintained and audited.
* Identify gaps and build capability through training and coaching.
* Use problem-solving to address root causes.
* Perform routine maintenance, fault finding, and support machine re-building and re-starting.
* Identify and escalate improvement opportunities.
* Utilize the Maintenance Management system (SAP) effectively.
* Lead and contribute to QCDM meetings.
* Collaborate with team members to ensure end-to-end line performance.
* Escalate issues outside of capability or remit.
* Coach and address performance and behavior gaps.
* Drive actions based on data and machine performance.
Qualifications
* Experience in manufacturing or autonomous roles with coaching responsibilities preferred.
* Results-oriented with strong problem-solving skills.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet targets.
* Effective influencer and communicator.
* Leadership qualities to motivate and hold others accountable.
* Technical competence in operation or maintenance.
* Mechanical skills and ability to train others.
Preferred qualifications include NVQ Level 2, GCSEs, or equivalent, and proficiency in MS Office, Scada, and SAP.
