This role is crucial to support their continued growth on earthworks projects ranging from £500k to £2m across the UK. This contractor has built an excellent reputation, collaborating closely with Tier 1 Principal Contractors. Their work is pivotal in preparing land for substantial construction projects. This is a fantastic chance to join a team that's expanding rapidly and making significant contributions to major developments. You’ll be office-based and will be expected to visit site as and when required though flexibility will be offered as required. The vibe in the office is relaxed yet professional and you will be working alongside Project Managers, Engineers, Geotech Engineers and other construction professionals. What you’ll be responsible for You will be managing earthworks projects of various sizes ensuring clear and accurate budgets are produced. You will have an effective relationship with both clients and internal departments to ensure the contract is completed within its projected budget. Contracts tend to fall under JCT and are short and fast paced. You will have the following responsibilities: Expectation to manage multiple projects of varying sizes and complexities Procurement of works to meet and exceed programme and ideally tender budgets. Management of client and subcontractor accounts Weekly review and analysis of programme, progress and cost monitoring. Change control management. Risk & opportunity management Financial monitoring and reporting and liaising with the project team. Detailed commercial analysis of various outputs. The ideal candidate will have solid quantity surveying principals and will come from an earthworks, groundworks or civils background. Degree qualified in quantity surveying, or commercial management accredited or working towards. Great at prioritising effectively, and able to deal with multiple responsibilities and deadlines A strong communicator and able to build strong relationships with people at all levels Details orientated and able to identify improvements needed Proficient in Microsoft Office Well organised with exceptional timekeeping Full UK driving licence What does the hiring process look like?
