This permanent role is essential in developing and leading a new corporate category team for Professional Services, including HR, Finance, Marketing, and ICT. This is a strategic position vital in steering the direction of the organisation's procurement policies and ensuring compliance with public sector contracts. Foster close relationships with the market to understand supplier capabilities and innovative contract delivery options
Develop a comprehensive commercial category strategy and policy, ensuring alignment with current legislation
Conduct regular business and market analysis to inform future category plans
Develop and implement new KPIs for contract management in line with Government Commercial Framework
Represent the organisation in all aspects of public sector procurement and associated commercial issues
Experience in strategic procurement project and programme management within the public sector
Experience in defining and leading commercial policy, procedures, and processes
