The job itself
An exciting opportunity has arisen to work in Asset Strategy and make a difference to the residents of the East Riding.
We are seeking a motivated individual for the post of Senior Property Officer to join our small, friendly but busy Housing Investment Team.
The role will assist in delivering the objectives of the 30-year Housing Revenue Account (HRA) Business Plan and will involve working with a range of stakeholders including tenants, elected members, private developers, and contractors as well as internal colleagues.
The ideal candidate should be a qualified or experienced building/property professional, be able to demonstrate a high level of competence in all aspects of the role and deliver a collaborative approach to problem solving. The postholder will play a key role in delivering new affordable homes and a background in the construction industry will be an advantage.
As well as helping to deliver new housing, the postholder will also be involved in projects relating to improving the quality of council owned housing stock including meeting the Government’s decarbonisation target and ensuring compliance with the social housing regulatory framework.
It should be noted that whilst the place of work is County Hall in Beverley, we offer a blended working environment, the ability to be flexible with your working arrangements and a positive attitude is key to the success of the team.
