The Product Governance Manager supports the Head of Risk, Strategy and Finance Ops in ensuring that the PIB Product Governance framework is adhered to throughout the lifecycle of all Barbon insurance products. In this role you will be responsible for carrying out product reviews to ensure they deliver good customer outcomes, provide ongoing fair value, remain suitable for the target market, and are distributed through appropriate channels and supporting the completion of actions identified during these reviews. You will provide guidance and support to relevant teams to ensure compliance with the Group Framework whilst working collaboratively with the business to support the growth strategy promptly identifying and addressing any issues. This role also requires you to work closely with cross-functional teams, including Product Development, 1st and 2nd Line Compliance, and the management teams to enhance product governance processes. Key Responsibilities: Ownership of all Product Approval and Governance processes across all Barbon insurance products, conducting product reviews, ongoing product monitoring, analysing and challenging where appropriate reports, data and information provided by the business areas in support of these reviews. Ownership of the Product register ensuring that this maintained with up to date and accurate information. Conduct annual reviews on the Product Grouping and Benchmarking document to ensure the business has up to date rational to support the product reviews and the evaluation of business persistency and performance and product grouping. Track, monitor and report on Product Governance KPI’s including but not limited to underwriting performance, renewal retention, new business conversion, margin levels projections on an overarching and product level basis in support to the reviews. Track and monitor completion of all actions resulting from product reviews reporting on the progress of these back to the senior management team. Keeping up to date competitor analyses across all products in the Barbon Division in order to support product fair value reviews but also to assist the wider business product development. Carry out the required reviews and ensure completion of the relevant product governance documents in respect to the approval of new products being introduced, adaptations to existing products or withdrawal of products in line with the PIB Product Governance Framework with clear audit trails Support the completion of Insurer Fair Value Assessments completing and supplying required MI reports and monitoring progress of FVA’s to ensure that they have been completed on an annual basis. Ensure Insurer sign off of the Target Market Statement review on an annual basis. Ensure that Barbon adheres to the PIB Product Governance Policy and report and manage any breaches to their resolution. Ensure the full suite of MI is available for all products and remains fit for purpose. Prepare the Barbon local Product Governance Committee Pack and chair bimonthly committee meetings. Prepare and produce the Barbon quarterly report for the PIB Product Governance Oversight Committee and attend quarterly meetings to represent Barbon. Work with the business and the senior management team to ensure that products and propositions are designed with the client in mind and offer fair value. Act as the primary point of contact for supporting development of our approach to Information Requests, FVAs, Product Reviews/Approvals, Distribution Impact Assessments and other related activities as advised by Senior Management and in line with any other additional guidance.
