Mortgage Intermediary Development Manager
Our Mortgage Intermediary telephone department has the opportunity to join their leadership team. This is an up to 12 month secondment.
This role plays a key part in our success by leading a team of telephone/web chat business development advisors whose business-to-business (B2B) service is recognised as being the best in the industry. Being passionate about coaching a team to develop the skills and knowledge that underpins our market reputation for providing fast, accurate, professional and friendly mortgage business development support will be key.
The role also includes being responsible for:
* Ensuring the highest level of service to Intermediaries/Brokers through the achievement of all service and quality measures.
* Developing the telephone team's mortgage market knowledge and commercial awareness.
* Creating an inclusive environment where staff are developed, supported and coached to achieve their personal goals.
* Being an influential communicator at peer, stakeholder and B2B level.
* Having an expert level of lending policy knowledge, product rules and commercial awareness, in order to make decisions in a fast-paced environment.
* Developing a detailed understanding of the whole mortgage process from marketing to underwriting procedures.
About you
To be successful you’ll be a proven and influential communicator at management level or above, with a passion to develop, coach, and lead others.
You'll already have recent leadership experience in financial services and a strong understanding of mortgage policies, products and procedures, and a broker/intermediary background would be advantageous. Experience of coaching and developing others with evidence of delivering results and high standards will also be required.
This is a B2B telephony operation where relationship development and commercial awareness is at the heart of what we do and you’ll be able to demonstrate where your experience in this has made a difference.
