About the Role
This role involves supporting HR administration, including payroll processing, onboarding compliance, inductions, probationary reviews, and maintaining employee records.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
* Administer the processing of payroll, including expense claims, overtime, changes to working patterns, and salary reviews.
* Produce salary review letters.
* Manage compliance for onboarding candidates, including pre-employment checks and ensuring documentation is completed as per the Recruitment policy, including DBS checks, references, and Right to Work checks.
* Involvement in the induction process for new starters.
* Support the coordination of the probationary review process, including assisting with internal communications and administering probation outcome letters.
* Maintain the HR database, ensuring employee records and compliance are updated, including undertaking DBS renewals and processing amendments to personal data.
Person Specification:
* Good understanding of compliance.
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
* High attention to detail and accuracy.
* Understanding of the importance of confidentiality.
* Excellent time management with the ability to organise, create, and prioritise own work schedule.
* Experience using MS Office packages, particularly Excel.
This role is ideal for someone eager to learn HR practices, with no specific qualifications required. As a junior-level position, it focuses on administrative tasks, including possible minute-taking, running payroll on spreadsheets, and letter writing. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and a solid understanding of compliance and confidentiality.
