With over forty years’ experience in the industry, our client works nationwide to provide expert nitrogen, maintenance and cleaning services to utilities industries and engineering companies.
Their maintenance division provides services mostly to the water industry, including everything from building new digester roofs and PV valve servicing to pipework repairs and general maintenance. Their industrial cleaning division provides screen hire along with emptying and cleaning digesters for the water industries.
Due to continued growth, they have a number of opportunities for enthusiastic, hard-working Mechanical Fitters to join their team.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical installation of pipework and equipment found on water and water treatment sites, they should have a strong understanding of working to installation drawings and be able to overcome general problems that come up when installing equipment on site.
The key responsibilities involve:
Setting to technical drawings
Welding & fabrication site activities as required
Operating site-specific power tools and equipment
Adherence to Health and Safety protocols
Following instruction from Site Supervisors and Contract Managers
Essential Qualifications:
CSCS Card (Labourer minimum requirement)
Mechanical Qualification
Full UK Driving Licence (Essential)
Desirable Qualifications:
Experience working on water utilities sites
Confined Spaces Certification
Coded Welder Qualifications to BS EN 1090 or equivalent
CPCS/NPORS Tickets
Any other site related qualifications/tickets e.g. IPAF, PASMA, Compex

Package:
Competitive rates of pay
Full-time basic hours 37.5 per week
