About the role
We are working on an exciting National Account Manager role on behalf of a super innovative consumer goods business who are known in the market for its exceptionally fun products! Sitting in one of the fast-growing consumer goods industries, and with a current turnover of £100m + and amazing growth plans of 23% YoY it’s never been a more exciting time to join this business.
Due to amazing growth, they are expanding their sales team and hiring experienced National Account Executives who are looking for a step-up or an up-and-coming National Account Manager who is looking for a new challenge.
Reporting in to the Sales Director you will manage the business’s top-tier account with a £20m+ P&L.
You will work alongside the Senior leadership team to develop new and bespoke strategies to drive brand growth with all key partners, to ensure strong ROI on the investments made within the business.
This is really much a stepping stone to becoming Senior National Account Manager and being an integral part of the business involved with key, global decisions.
Specific Responsibilities of a National Account Manager:
1. Managing one of the business top tier accounts with a £20m+ P&L
2. Develop new and bespoke strategies to drive brand growth with all key partners, to ensure strong ROI on the investments made in their business
3. Working alongside the Marketing, Brand and Category teams to enable successful product activation and NPD launches
4. Develop bi-annual business plans for all key accounts that deliver upon company goals and meet customer needs
5. Deliver product presentations, business proposals and plans during key periods of the year
6. Understand customer and distributor timelines and proactively provide customers with all information and materials required to make decisions and manage the business effectively
7. Work with a support team to develop forecasts that best reflect market realities; update forecasts as required, on a monthly basis as a minimum
8. Timely and effective review of actual performance to ensure goals are achieved and adjust plans as necessary
9. Analysis of sell-through data and market intelligence to maximize business opportunities while minimising risk
Knowledge, Experience and Skills Required as a National Account Manager:
1. A minimum of 3 years experience within national accounts
2. Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing or a related area
3. Demonstrated managing a business portfolio with a national UK retailer
4. Proficiency in MS Office software (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), SAP, and Salesforce an asset
5. Ambitious and keen to progress in personal career
