Job summary An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Registered Nurse to join our multidisciplinary team as Unit Manager of the Wakefield Intermediate Care Unit, based at Pontefract Hospital. The Wakefield Intermediate Care Unit is a 22-bedded Unit that provides short term inpatient care to people who need extra support, care and rehabilitation following an acute hospital stay. Our expert multi-disciplinary team includes registered and non-registered nurses, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, and a wider support team who work in partnership with our patients and their families to provide the care they need and to support their safe and timely discharge home. Main duties of the job As Unit Manager, your responsibilities will include providing senior leadership, clinical expertise, support and advice for the delivery of a consistently high standard of care that meets patient needs and Unit objectives.
