Highgate School is currently seeking an enthusiastic, well-qualified teacher of French and Spanish to join its successful Modern Languages department from September 2025 on a 1 year contract. Applicants should be excellent linguists with a first-rate command of both languages, whether with a background in the language or skills acquired through advanced academic study. The successful applicant will share our vision for education and, importantly, enjoy working with young people.
The Department
The Highgate curriculum offers five modern languages (French, German, Mandarin, Russian, and Spanish) in years 7 to 13, with French and Spanish being popular choices among students. Numbers studying the subject are strong, and pupils enjoy participating in and contributing to a rich and varied programme of talks, academic societies, clubs, trips, visits, and exchanges.
