Key Responsibilities : The role of Maintenance Person is to provide assistance with Housing Management functions in our Lifehouse Service and they will ensure that the property is kept at a high standard of maintenance. The role is pivotal in ensuring our vision that high quality maintenance and health and safety services are delivered. You will complete day to day maintenance, reporting repairs, fire alarm checks and other relevant tasks to support the centre and its clients to live safely within Southwark Young People Service. The successful candidates will be able to demonstrate: In consultation with the Duty Manager carry out such work as outlined in the planned maintenance report. Carry out such work as detailed by the Annual Inspection report. On a day-to-day basis, carry out such work as necessary in accordance with health and safety and hygiene regulations. Carry out emergency repairs as directed by the Centre Manager as they arise, ensuring correct reporting procedures are followed through. Maintain all essential supplies, i.e. gas, water and electricity, etc. monitoring usage. Maintain all tools, equipment and work areas in a clean, tidy and safe condition. Undertake training as deemed necessary. Work as part of the staff team within the Centre to ensure the overall aims of the agency are achieved.
