Maritime Region West Europe includes all operational classification business in the Areas Germany, Benelux & France, Iberia & Italy/ Malta, and UK & Ireland and consists of ~440 employees in nine countries. The Region operates with three service lines: Newbuilding (NB), Fleet in Service (FIS) and Classification and Verification of Material and Components (CMC/VMC).
Area UK & Ireland is looking for a Cost and Project Controller. The Area offers Maritime Class services through ~60 employees in seven UK locations, with its headquarters in London. Services delivered are Fleet in Service, incorporating Ships in Operation and Offshore, as well as CMC/VMC and NB activities.
Our Opportunity
Are you ready to make an impact in financial control and project management? Join our team as a Cost and Project Controller, where you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring robust financial control for our projects and operations. Reporting directly to the Area Finance Manager, you will be at the heart of driving compliance, computing, classifying, recording, and verifying numerical data for use in maintaining accounting records by overseeing the following key activities:
* Issuing invoices under Oracle platform systems
* Follow-up on Accounts Receivables to assist in achieving KPI
* Ensure that all new projects are set up correctly with correct financial data and contract documentation in the CRM system and transferred into the relevant financial system
* Generate and review monthly WIP reports
* Handle monthly project review meetings with unit managers
* Close collaboration with other DNV finance teams in and out of Europe
* Assist employees or customers by answering questions related to accounts, procedures, projects, and services
* Understand and improve processes
There may also be the opportunity to develop in the role towards management support, such as:
* Controlling and analysis of financial numbers
* Visualization (e.g. dashboards) of KPIs for Managers to help steer the business

Position Qualifications
* Bachelor’s degree or similar in Economics/Finance
* Financial qualifications are desirable
* Technical insight and understanding of Oracle processes and systems, or similar systems
* Excellent MS Office skills, especially Excel and Power BI
* Experience from a similar position and tasks is preferred
* Fluent in business English
* Knowledge, experience, and/or interest in Maritime Classification and Maritime Industry would be an advantage
