Weybourne Group is the holding company for the Dyson technology company. We are seeking an Investment Operations Analyst to join our team who are responsible for managing diversified multi-asset portfolios.
Our team is small, so you will need to be flexible, pragmatic and solutions oriented. The Investment Operations Analyst is responsible for managing all investment and treasury back-office. Main responsibilities include:
Main Duties/Responsibilities:
Investment Execution
* Follow through on investment decisions ensuring accurate and timely execution by brokers and custodians.
* Manage private capital fund transactions, such as capital calls and distributions.
* Arrange all investment paperwork, e.g., application forms, KYC documentation and assisting with obtaining Director signatures for investment instructions.
* Liaise with the Investment & Treasury Control team to ensure cash settlement.
* Liaise with the custodian to clarify investment subscription and cash settlement deadlines.
* Collate and review contract notes received directly from fund’s administrator and/or the custodian.
Private Markets
* Collate capital call/distribution notices and update illiquid funds records. Reconcile outstanding commitments and capital call amounts to the actual notices.
* Assist the Investment team with any ongoing fund updates and requirements, leading on all required paperwork.
* Use the data scraping system to ensure all relevant private markets data is captured in the portfolio management system.
* Ensure all relevant fund data is saved down internally to support the investment team's monitoring.
Cash Management
* Contribute to a daily reconciliation of the cash in the investment portfolio.
* Prepare weekly cash projections for the investment portfolio, including recommendations for any necessary FX trades or money market fund redemptions to ensure the cash accounts are not overdrawn.
* Recommend money market account subscriptions to optimise return from the portfolio cash balances.
* Ensure all necessary funds movements for investment and treasury activities are performed in a timely and accurate manner.
* Maintain a fully reconciled register of the investment portfolio.
* Monitor derivative positions and margin balances where applicable.
Investment Performance and Financial Reporting
* Assist the Investment Operations team in maintaining the portfolio management system with daily data.
* Prepare standard monthly performance reports including collation of external investment manager reports and valuation statements.
* Prepare quarterly performance reports, updating IRRs and multiples for illiquid funds.
* Help reconcile performance reports to custodian statements and management accounts.
* Provide financial reporting figures to Finance department.
General
* Support the Compliance Officer with investments related compliance work.
* Support on any internal and external audit requests in relation to the investments and portfolio itself.
* Assist Tax with monthly and quarterly reporting.
* Assist the Head of Investment Operations with any related tasks on an adhoc basis.
Qualifications/Experience
* Graduate with 2-4 years’ experience in an Asset Management or Wealth Operations role.
* Numerate with great attention to detail (Excel skills will be tested).
* Excellent written communication skills and the ability to prepare key documentation.
* Flexible and able to execute on a wide variety of tasks to set deadlines.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Takes initiative, is accountable and a strong team player.
