My client, a leading global investment bank, is seeking an experienced Product Manager to position technology as a strategic asset and to shape how a growing product organisation supports worldwide business growth. Reporting to the Lead for Investments, the successful candidate will own the alignment and product development of the banks investment-operations proposition, covering custody, IBOR, ABOR, trade capture, dealing and settlements across multiple asset classes. Working within a long-standing Agile team, the Product Manager will integrate and modernise critical post-trade platforms, delivering innovative, scalable solutions while cultivating a strong partnership between technology and the global business.
Key Responsibilities Serve as subject-matter expert for engineering teams and third-party vendors, ensuring clarity around deliverable outcomes.
Translate stakeholder needs into well-structured Agile user stories with clear acceptance criteria.
Champion and communicate the value delivered by the product team to senior stakeholders, steering committees and control functions.
Lead product updates, deliver regular demos, and act as the primary evangelist for the product across front-, middle- and back-office communities.
Articulate a compelling product vision and explicitly link each incremental story to that vision.
Navigate ambiguity confidently, defining a path forward and bringing the team along.
Lead and mentor an Agile delivery squad that consistently ships high-quality, well-tested functionality.
Internal platforms: own and refine the product backlog, ensuring it is transparent, prioritised and visible to all stakeholders.
External platforms: oversee vendor relationships, facilitate release planning and align the roadmap with strategic objectives.
Liaise with adjacent product teams to identify dependencies and negotiate solutions that prevent delivery blockages.
Manage design and delivery in accordance with global conduct, operational-risk and control standards.
Technical & Professional Requirements Degree-level education (or equivalent professional experience).
5+ years in Product Management, preferably leading transformational change programmes in global financial-services environments.
Proven experience with APIs, microservices and distributed architectures supporting high-volume, low-latency processing.
Track record of managing external vendors in portfolio-management, trade-processing or investment-services domains.
Demonstrated success leading Agile teams and delivering continuous change into mission-critical production systems.
Prior exposure to front-, middle- and back-office workflows in investment banking, asset management or wealth management.
Excellent written and spoken English; additional major-market language skills advantageous.
Opportunity This role offers the chance to join a high-impact, globally distributed team at an early stage of a strategic transformation programme, directly influencing the evolution of the banks technology estate and delivering meaningful change across its investment-banking franchise.
