About you As an Assistant Quantity Surveyor, with an M&E focus, your role primarily consists of supporting the Quantity Surveying team on all commercial and financial aspects of construction projects. The role involves working with the Project Team to allow projects be delivered safely, on time and to budget whilst ensuring high levels of client satisfaction. You'll be working across projects in the following sectors: Residential, Leisure and Sports, Commercial, Hotels, Education (further and higher), Retail, Healthcare and Blue Light, Manufacturing, Laboratories, Local Councils, Life Cycle Costing, Carbon Studies, Sustainability, Master Planning, Bill of Quantitiesyou could be working on all types of projects from small quick projects to large masterplans. Our aim is to make your work interesting and variable Responsibilities: ► You will assist on: Production of cost plans, costing of option studies, life cycle cost plans, the production of cash flows, value engineering and value management activities, production of risk registers including costings, production of the procurement reports Preparation of tender documentation, the production of bill of quantities/pricing documents and support with the tender process specifically tender evaluations and tender reports Negotiation of the contracts, the production and collation of contract documents, the negotiation of final accounts, dispute and loss and expense claims ► You will undertake: Project measurements using Cost-X and BIM Benchmarking activities and input costs into data bases Market research of material costs including obtaining quotations from suppliers Interim and final assessment of valuations Comp checks of financial documents Requirements Qualified in a relevant Quantity Surveying related degree Experience within the M&E specialism Achieved or actively working towards Chartership Technical knowledge in all main areas of Quantity Surveying Ability to manage your own time, tasks and meet deadlines Relationship building, quickly and effectively Attention to detail Benefits Joining us at Fulkers Bailey Russell isn't just about being part of a great team—it's a thrilling journey packed with fantastic perks We believe we are a great place to work and for people to develop their careers - we strive to satisfy the career aspirations of our people in a friendly, professional, environmentally and socially positive way.
