Our client is looking for a proactive Conveyancing Assistant to join their busy legal firm to support a dynamic conveyancing team.
This is a part-time role, working 3 days perweek.
You will be responsible for:
* Providing general administrative support to the Conveyancer.
* Communicating with clients, estate agents, and other third parties as needed.
* Handling new business enquiries and providing quotes to prospective clients.
* Opening new files and assisting with AML and KYC documentation requirements.
* Compiling contract papers, requesting searches, and obtaining documents from HM Land Registry.
* Drafting legal documents, search reports, and correspondence as directed by the Conveyancer.
* Preparing files for completion, managing the exchange of contracts, and generating bills.
* Assisting with post-completion tasks, including submitting SDLT returns and preparing AP1s.
What We Are Looking For:
* Proven experience in a similar role such asConveyancing Assistant, Legal Secretary, Legal Assistant, Conveyancing Paralegal, Conveyancing Administrator, Legal Property Clerk or Legal Executive.
* Familiarity with conveyancing procedures and legal protocols.
* Strong computer skills, particularly in MS Office.
* Experience in residential conveyancing (preferred)
* Ability to manage administrative duties efficiently and accurately.
