Job Title: CNC Machinist (Multi-skilled)
Location: Bala, Gwynedd, North Wales
Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 per annum (dependent on experience) + Benefits

Scanwel is a leader in precision manufacturing, delivering expert engineering solutions for over 50 years. Based in the heart of Snowdonia National Park in Bala, we specialise in producing components and systems for sectors such as nanotechnology, microelectronics, biomedicine, and materials research.
We are seeking a multi-skilledCNC Machinist to join our team, where your skills and passion will contribute to an established team.
The Role:
As a Multi-Skilled CNC Machinist, you will:
* Program, set, and operate conventional and CNC machines, including manual/semi-CNC lathes and CNC milling machines.
* Work with a variety of materials, primarily stainless steel, to manufacture precision vacuum components and fabrications.
* Use inspection equipment to ensure the highest quality standards.
* Read and interpret engineering drawings to plan and execute projects effectively.
* Collaborate with a skilled team of engineers while taking responsibility for health and safety in the workplace.
Requirements:
To thrive in this role, you should have:
* Proven experience as a Multi-Skilled CNC Machinist
* HND qualification or higher (preferred).
* Skills in both manual and CNC lathes and mills.
* Experience with Mazak Mazatrol systems (desirable).
* Knowledge of CAD (advantageous).
* Strong organisational and communication skills to foster effective teamwork.
* Knowledge of vacuum systems, TIG welding, and stress analysis/report writing are highly advantageous.
