FTC Vacancy – Payroll Officer
Location: Cambridge, CB2
Salary: £31,500 per annum
Hours: 36.25 per week, Monday to Friday
Contract Type: Maternity Cover until June 2026
To process the pay and pension payrolls accurately and in line with current legislation, submit appropriate reports, and assist colleagues and external agencies with queries.
Key Responsibilities:
* Ensure accurate and timely payroll processing for.
* Handle payroll deductions, pay awards, and statutory payments.
* Submit monthly and annual returns to HMRC and DWP.
* Maintain payroll records for absences and statutory leaves.
* Process BACS payments for payroll, pensions, HMRC, childcare, and court orders.
* Act as the main point of contact for payroll queries.
* Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and policies.
* Maintain pension records and process payments and queries.
* Liaise with auditors, actuaries, DWP, and HMRC.
Person Specification:
* Sound administrative experience in payroll and pensions.
* Proficiency in computerised payroll systems (preferably Cascade), Excel, and Word.
