About the Role
As a Regional Clinical Development Nurse at Barchester, you will lead and support the clinical governance and quality of care for residents in nine of our care homes across Essex, Norfolk, and Suffolk. Your primary goal is to ensure each home meets the highest clinical standards.
You will be responsible for reviewing monthly clinical governance databases and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for each home. This analysis will enable you to identify practical strategies to maintain regulatory compliance and continually improve the quality of care delivered.
Your role will involve close collaboration with the Regional Director, improvement specialists, and senior clinical staff to implement key actions addressing any issues that arise. You will also play a crucial role in organizing new training, attracting senior clinical staff, and delivering clinical investigations.
Due to the regional nature of this position, regular travel is essential.
About You
To succeed as a Regional Clinical Development Nurse at Barchester, you must be a Registered Nurse (RN) with a General registration and current NMC registration. Additionally, you should provide evidence of continued professional development and have a strong understanding of current regulatory requirements.
You will have extensive experience working in a care home environment and possess the skills of a confident clinical mentor, particularly when supporting newly qualified nurses. Your leadership abilities, sharp analytical mind, and capacity to share knowledge, build relationships, and deliver action plans are essential in achieving impressive results.
