Reporting to the Channel Head, the Channel Marketing Manager holds commercial responsibility for developing and driving multichannel product and promotional plans to achieve Net Sales (NS), Market Penetration (MP), and Share of Business objectives. Acting as the functional expert, they lead Sony’s initiatives with retail partners to maximise presence and sales both online and in-store, while continuously refining and optimising channel marketing efforts. This role emphasises building online expertise within the sales team and establishing standardized ways of working with internal and external partners. With a strong focus on winning online while balancing success in a 360° multichannel retail environment, the Channel Marketing Manager ensures the implementation of effective, timely trade marketing activities that align with brand, category, and sales performance objectives. By serving as the two-way interface between Sony and retailers, they cultivate deeper collaboration to leverage shared insights about target consumers, driving mutual success in sales, profit, and market share. You will: Collaborate with Sales to lead all aspects of the marketing funnel—Awareness, Interest, Consideration, Intent, Evaluation, and Purchase—controlled by the retailer. Ensure Sony’s products and promotional plans are executed optimally, adhering to Sony’s brand guidelines while aligning with retailers’ tone of voice. Develop and drive a strategic trade marketing plan that meets sales, brand, consumer, category, and channel objectives as outlined in relevant strategy plans and the budget. Drive 360° activation of product launches, both in-store and online, to maximise vertical ramp-up (VRU). Maintain and improves Sony’s Online Selection, Location, and Condition (SLC) to ensure online success. Focus on raising the online capabilities of the Sales Team and implementing consistent ways of working. Drive significant improvements in Sony’s market share, visibility, conversion rates, and share of voice within the retailer’s online space. Collaborate with Media Planning and Trade Marketing teams to enhance the online brand experience, ensuring the successful sale of premium products. Contribute to achieving Net Sales (NS) and Market Penetration (MP) targets through exceptional multichannel activation of Sony’s product and promotional plans. Co-manage the Sales Tactical (ST) and local Advertising & Promotion (A&P) budgets, focusing on maximising share of business (SOB), improving return on investment, and advancing online capabilities. Partner to optimise in-store retail displays, enhancing Sony’s physical presence and impact within stores. You will bring: Proven experience in a similar role. Extensive knowledge of the consumer electronics industry, including competitors, retailers, and consumer behaviour. Proven experience in launching products in a multi-channel environment. Strong project management and data analysis skills. Creative and results-driven mentality with a strong drive to win. Ability to work and deliver in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment. Strong collaboration skills and ability to work effectively within a matrix organisation. High level of commercial awareness. Fluency in English (written and spoken) with the confidence to present effectively. Proficiency in MS Office and Power BI. Familiarity with Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics, and third-party onsite advertising platforms.
