The Role:
Reporting to the Head of Core business, the Leisure Account Manager will deliver against determined leisure finance targets. This is a highly visible and crucial role and, in addition to the acquisition of new Leisure partners, the LAM will also drive the financial services performance of these partners.
Displaying high levels of credibility, the LAM will be the lead contact for Leisure finance in our retailers. The LAM will deliver new and used vehicle finance penetrations, and ensure customers receive the best possible outcomes by having access to the most suitable products for their needs.
The role will focus primarily on the building and development of our Leisure business and will require the acquisition and account management of both independent dealers and brokers operating in the Leisure Sector. The Leisure Account manager will also develop our OEM Leisure strategy. The Leisure Account Manager will be instrumental in developing our Leisure footprint and in further strengthening our relationships with the wider Leisure industry.
This is a field-based role which will require significant travel and a flexible approach to working hours. Retailer contact is face to face on site as well as online, phone and email.
Key Responsibilities:
Account management
* To deliver against targets, personal development and performance objectives
* To conduct regular retailer F&I review meetings, where the Retailer Principal / General Manager is present and where smart actions are agreed and subsequently implemented and reviewed.
* To ensure visit schedules are appropriately established and maintained together with visit reports/management action plans
* Retailer sales management to include financial products and customer suitability, management of credit volumes, business quality, margins, take up rates and accept rates.
* Negotiation of commission terms
* Preparation and presentation of dealer commission term proposals
* Working with retailers identify and provide the most appropriate market solution for customer acquisition
* Dealer training – BNPP-PF systems, processes, regulatory sales processes & requirements.
* Dealer sales management to include financial products and customer suitability, management of credit volumes, business quality, margins, take up rates and accept rates.
* Complaint management and dealer liaison
* Matching clients to Business solutions
* Dealer profile management – ensuring accuracy and validity of information held
* Liaison & close co-operation with Product Development Function, Pricing Function and Dealer Support Function (within Operations)
* Liaison & close co-operation with Compliance and Operations Fraud management
* Intercompany leverage and close co-operation with other parts of the BNP Paribas organisation and strategic partners.
New client pipeline management.
* New retailer, broker and OEM on boarding.
* OEM Wholesale development and lead generation
* Negotiation of commission terms.
* Preparation and presentation of dealer commission term proposals.
* Regulatory oversight of Dealers
* Working with dealers identify and provide the most appropriate market solution for customer acquisition.
* Dealer training – BNPP-PF systems, processes, regulatory sales processes & requirements
Skills & Attributes:
* Knowledge of key business of Leisure motor & retail finance sales operations
* Retail Motor Finance experience gained either with a Motor Finance provider or retail motor sales operation
* Experience in negotiating complex deals & presenting at Board level.
* Proven ability to identify and exploit new opportunities.
* Resilience - Evidence of being in a high pressure role where delivering sustainable and profitable sales are key
