Job summary This role as a band 3 Health care assistant offers lifestyle flexibility as part of the evening team working 18:30-23:30 There is 1 post of 15 hours available working 3 shifts a week each. Although the team is a countywide team with a central base in Droitwich, there are several satellite bases across the county. This vacancy is for the South of the County being based Droitwich Medical Centre. The Team visits patients in their own home and support them in remaining at home and preventing admission to hospital, and also supporting early discharge from hospital. Main duties of the job As a HCA on the evening team you will be allocated via our electronic system onto a handheld tablet, patients to visit in their own homes, primarily across the South of the county. These would normally be within a geographic area, but some flexibility is expected to cover patients countywide. The role of the HCA is varied, in supporting patients in their own home with personal care, mobility, and simple wound care and catheter care. All appropriate training will be provided as part of the induction process. You will work independently but also as part of a team, with some visits requiring 2 members of staff.
