An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Clinical Coder to join our Northern Care Alliance Clinical Coding Team.
We are looking for candidates with clinical coding experience across specialties in an acute setting and will hold the National Clinical Coding Qualification (ACC), or be working towards, and would consider applicants also at a Band 4 level based on experience.
The post holder requires excellent communication, organisation skills and to be able to work as part of a team to deliver timely and accurate coded data to meet the Trusts deadlines.
We have the ability to offer hybrid working with a mix of office and at home working. The is via the use of electronic systems while also maintaining the need for case note and paper coding on site. The candidate can select their preferred base to be at either Oldham, Bury or Rochdale.
The Coding Team is a skilled team with an excellent reputation that ensures complete and accurate coding of Trust activity. We have an in-house Audit and Coded Data and Standards Assurance Team to support in your development.
While the candidate will have daily duties and responsibilities, the spectrum of work may be broad across the Department. Please refer to the job description for more details.

In addition to this we offer flexibility around hours and working patterns. Consideration will be given if you are working towards the National Clinical Coding Qualification (ACC) to enter at Band 4 depending upon experience.

For the Clinical Coder, Band 4 development Milestone to Senior Clinical Coder Band 5, the Key Development Milestone is met upon successfully passing the National Clinical Coding Qualification and the Clinical Coder obtaining their Accredit Clinical Coding status. The banding change is from Clinical Coder Band 4 to the Senior Clinical Coder Band 5, with the banding change effective from the date of exam.
