Description Overview We are currently recruiting for an Accounts Administrator to join us on our Cygnia site based in Northampton, reporting to the Assistant Finance Manager, this is an exciting and varied role which is key to producing accurate management accounts, through analysing labour costs and key productivities, across both open and closed book customers. The ideal candidate will have an eye for detail, possess the desire to be involved in all tasks within the Finance Department, be able to communicate confidently and be able to challenge the status quo. A varied role providing support and insight to enhance site/customer reporting and understanding through the interpretation of information produced to identify opportunities and challenge the operations. How will you contribute? Analysis of labour hours between Operational departments & assisting Operational Heads to explain key variances. Assisting client managers on the preparation and closure of monthly and weekly invoices. Raise online Purchase Orders and ad-hoc payment requests for site. Weekly statement reconciliations. Month end responsibilities as required, including knowledge of basic accounting principles. Running daily reports for sharing with the business to identify trends. Delivery of accurate and timely financial reports, working with the operations on a weekly and periodic basis to understand variances. Develop strong relationships with varied stakeholders throughout the business. Work with the Assistant Finance Manager to embed meaningful management information to support the development of opportunities and growth. Reporting and monitoring of key performance indicators to support service delivery and contractual commitments. Producing ad-hoc reports, costings and expenditure trend analysis as required. Other ad-hoc duties as assigned by Assistant Finance Manager. What will you bring? Transport/Logistics/Warehousing Industry experience would be advantageous but not essential. Demonstrate drive, energy and a commitment to the continuous improvement of overall contract performance. Be proactive, inquisitive with a passion for challenging teams to drive performance. Be able to work under pressure whilst maintaining high standards. Must be flexible and respond positively and accurately to internal and external customer requests. Ability to develop good working relationships at all levels. Have excellent PC skills and be able to understand and harness IT and systems to benefit the operation. Would suit someone looking to start/continue AAT, apprenticeship for AAT and beyond offered with the role. What do we offer?
