A unique opportunity has become available for a Learning Tutor to join our team in supporting students with their education, including those who have English as an additional or second language.
Our Learning Tutors want to make a difference by enabling students to learn, promoting their independence and helping them to achieve. You will also support the implementation of their Education Health and Care Plan (EHCP).
Ideally, you will have experience of working with students in an educational setting, although transferable skills gained in another setting would be acceptable. In addition, you will have a good standard of education to enable you to effectively support students in a classroom setting.
There will be first aid duties as part of a first aid team; therefore, a First Aid Certificate would be advantageous but is not essential as training will be provided.
Working days will be Wednesday and Thursday to meet the needs of the School.
We can offer you:
* A chance to learn and develop with good further training opportunities
* Free onsite Gym Facilities
* A supportive and collaborative team working environment
* Access to a free staff Counselling Service
* Cycle to Work Scheme
* Local Authority Reward Scheme
An application pack can be obtained from our website; please email your completed application to the school.
Online applications close on 26 January. Applications will be received at the school up until 9 am on 27 January.
If you already work for the council and have an Employee Self Service (ESS) account, please log in to apply online using your ESS username and password.
Secondment
If you wish to apply for this role on a secondment basis, please ensure you have sought approval from your line manager prior to submitting your application.
Schools applications
This school does not have the resources to send individual notifications to all applicants who are not shortlisted; if you have not been contacted within 2 weeks of the closing date, you should assume you have been unsuccessful.
If selected for interview, an online search will be conducted for candidates. This is in line with KCSiE 2022.
DBS/Medical check
This post is subject to an enhanced DBS clearance check. The school is committed to safeguarding children and promoting their welfare. All members of staff are expected to share this commitment.
