An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Trainer/Assessor to join a Warrington based charity to deliver high-quality training and assessment to individuals with a range of learning disabilities and additional support needs. You will work closely with learners to develop their skills, help them achieve their qualifications, and support their personal and professional growth in various vocational areas.
The charity is experiencing an exciting period of growth and the post holder will play a pivotal role in supporting this expansion, driving key initiatives, and helping to shape the future direction of the organisation while ensuring its continued success and sustainability.
As the Trainer/Assessor, your key responsibilities will be:
* Plan, develop, and assess accredited and non-accredited training sessions for individuals with learning disabilities and autism.
* Develop and implement individual learning plans (ILPs) tailored to each learner s needs, abilities, and goals.
* Assess learners progress through various methods, providing constructive feedback to ensure continuous development.
* Support learners in achieving vocational qualifications and preparing for external assessments.
* Continuously review and update training materials to align with learner needs and qualification standards.
* Offer one-to-one support and guidance to learners, fostering their confidence, independence, and employability skills.
* Maintain accurate records of learner progress, assessments, and qualifications in accordance with regulatory requirements.
* Work collaboratively with other staff members to develop new training opportunities and initiatives.
* Manage department heads to ensure delivery of learning outcomes, tracking the progress of staff delivery to ensure learners are getting maximum benefit and are being full engaged.
* Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages learners to reach their full potential.
* Ensure safeguarding, equality, and diversity principles are embedded in all training and assessment activities.
The Trainer/Assessor will have the following skills and attributes:
* Proven experience in delivering training, teaching, or assessment, preferably apprenticeships. Experience working with individuals with learning disabilities or autism is highly desirable.
* A relevant qualification in teaching or assessing (e.g., Level 3 Award in Education and Training, Level 3 Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement, or equivalent).
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage with a wide range of learners.
* Patience, empathy, and a commitment to providing person-centred support.
* Ability to adapt training techniques to meet the diverse needs of learners.
* A proactive, problem-solving approach to overcoming challenges in training and assessment.
