Health & Safety Manager Location: LiverpoolSalary: Competitive About the Role:A growing contractor specializing in mechanical, electrical, and construction services across public and private sectors is looking for an experienced Health & Safety Manager. This role is critical in ensuring compliance, improving health and safety performance, and fostering a positive safety culture. Key Responsibilities: Oversee day-to-day health and safety management across projects, contracts, and internal operations. Provide training and mentorship to employees on safety practices and compliance. Work closely with senior management to improve quality, compliance, and workplace safety. Ensure all staff and contractors are properly trained and compliant with current legislation. Develop and manage Risk Assessments, Method Statements (RAMS), and Construction Phase Plans (CPPs). Conduct inspections, audits, and investigations on health and safety matters. Maintain up-to-date records and accreditations, including ISO, CHAS, and Safe-Contractor. Attend client meetings and pre-start meetings as needed. Requirements: Experience in health and safety management, preferably in construction. NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent qualification. Strong knowledge of the Health & Safety at Work Act and relevant legislation. Ability to influence senior stakeholders and promote a safety-first culture. Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills. IT proficiency, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
