We are looking for a Small Works Coordinator to join our Building service team in Mansfield, Nottingham. You will manage the rechargeable Small Works service at Kings Mill, Mansfield Community and Newark Hospitals ensuring the timely and accurate response to requests from the Client.
What you'll do:
1. Review all requests for small works raised by the Trust and liaise with the departments to complete a full scope of the works as required.
2. Be responsible for coordinating and managing works up to a value of c. £25K (subject to annual review).
3. Liaise with members of the Estates Team to ensure that all aspects of the work are considered i.e. mechanical, electrical or building and are raised in appropriate committees for relevant sign off before proceeding with works.
4. Liaise with sub-contractors to obtain value for money quotations for works that can’t be completed in house.
5. Follow agreed processes for the submission and authorisation of quotations for works to proceed, in line with contractual obligations.
6. Work with the Small Works Administrator to ensure all elements of a small works project are documented accurately in the CAFM system and on spreadsheets.
7. On completion of works ensure that drawings, manuals and maintenance systems are updated where necessary and handed over to appropriate Estates Officer/Maintenance team.
What you'll bring to the role:
1. Relevant qualification in a trade specialty i.e. mechanical, electrical or building at NVQ Level 2 or above and appropriate trade experience.
2. IOSH Managing Safely/SMSTS (training can be provided).
3. Experience in time management and workload management.
