What's involved with this role: Interim Quantity Surveyor Job Ref: Kirklees 0009 43F3 / 1 Pay Rate: £21.98 per hour PAYE, negotiable for the right candidate Hours per week: 37 Monday – Friday, normal working hours Role Length: This opening assignment is for 3 months (initially) City: Huddersfield, West Yorkshire Pay negotiable based on experience Hybrid working Our client is looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their Capital Development and Delivery Team, providing client-side project management and quantity surveying services for major capital projects, including new builds, extensions, and renovations across schools, leisure centres, offices, depots, and listed buildings. Key Responsibilities: Lead project teams, ensuring service delivery meets customer expectations and financial targets. Plan and allocate resources to meet project deadlines and objectives, adapting to changing priorities. Monitor and manage costs to ensure projects are delivered within budget and high-quality standards. Maintain professional relationships with clients and colleagues, ensuring high levels of customer care. Conduct option appraisals, feasibility studies, and cost estimates aligned with project briefs. Provide accurate performance data to support the efficient operation of the business unit. Key requirements: (Professional Quantity Surveying) PQS – background Degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent, with relevant experience in a multi-disciplinary design environment. Public sector / construction contractor experience Strong project and programme management skills, with experience in formal project management methodologies. A full, valid driving license is essential, as travel is a significant part of the role.
