Job Description
Senior Site Engineer
Location: Midlands
As a Site Engineer, you will provide setting out/engineering control on site.
What you will be doing:
1. Coordinate site engineering control and setting out activities and provide information to operatives and subcontractors.
2. Complete diary sheets along with any photographic evidence as required.
3. Undertake material reconciliations.
4. Ensure all surveying equipment is calibrated.
5. Carry out as-built surveys on complete works and drawings.
6. Produce 2D and 3D site sketches.
7. Assist in maintaining quality records, ensuring all works undertaken in accordance with Inspection and Test Plans (ITP) and maintaining the as-built records.
8. Assist in basic planning, monitoring and programming.
9. Assist in mentoring junior and graduate engineers as required.
10. Control and minimise waste on site.
11. Identify/assist in introducing new process, techniques and innovations on site.
12. Ensure all company property under your control is taken care of and stored securely when not in use.
13. Participate in creating a knowingly safe working environment.
About You:
1. Ability to read and interpret data and drawings.
2. Confident with standard setting out techniques and ability to use Level and EDM with knowledge of GPS preferred.
3. Flexible attitude to work.
4. Problem solving skills.
5. Aware of individual health and safety responsibilities and adheres to company health and safety policy and procedures.
